General Google Stadia Releases 1440p Support

Google Stadia is a new take on the gaming industry, allowing people to stream some amazing games without the need of high powered gaming hardware. Stadia is now taking the next step forward by adding support for 1440p gaming on their streaming platform. After lots of work behind the scenes, the Stadia team has enhanced the graphical quality of supported games for Stadia Pro members, however, in order to be able to take advantage, you are going to need some hefty internet speed.

We’ve completed rolling out improved resolution settings,” announced the officila Stadia Twitter account. “Players using a display with a resolution between 1440p and 4K will be able to stream in 1440p instead of 1080p, so long as they meet all of the requirements to play in 4K

Google Stadia 1440p support will require a decently-powerful Internet connection. Stadia Pro players looking to reach the level of “Best visual quality” will need to be able to move 20 GB/hr of data, which roughly means about 45 Mbit/s connection. Many gamers in urban areas won't have an issue with this, but for certain rural areas, especially in the US, internet speeds won't be high enough to do so.

Google Stadia is available now and you can purchase their pro bundle from the google stadia store.
