Its time...Blizzard Entertainment has officially confirmed that Diablo IV will be getting some new gameplay in the coming month. Blizzard made a promise to release a series of quarterly updates that will showcase on how Diablo 4 is being developed behind the scenes.
The first update occurred in February where Blizzard discussed the user interface, controller support on PC, and the Cannibal monster family. Now we have word that the second quarterly update is to be released this coming June.
Of course, the sad news to the quarterly updates is the fact that Diablo 4 will not be releasing anytime soon, at least not anytime within 2020. The game is even yet to receive a tentative release date, so the only general time frame we have is based off of these quarterly updates.
One thing is for sure though, and that's what platforms the game will be released on, those platforms being PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. However, with the release of next generation consoles around the corner, you can assume that PS5 and Xbox Series X will also be included in the list of platforms to receive the game.
Blizzard Entertainment is looking to make Diablo 4 one of, if not the best Diablo game yet. They are taking all the good from Diablo 2 and adding modern-day improvements. One great potential feature is the ability for cross-play. So stay tuned for June where we hope to see some awesome new progress.
