General Sea of Thieves will get Xbox Series X Enhancements

Microsoft is doing some amazing things with the Xbox Series X, but bringing backwards compatibility tops it all. Over the consoles entire annulment, Microsoft has pledged that it will support thousands of games from previous generation consoles, with some new enhanced features as well. Most recently, Microsoft spoke about brining titles all the way from the original Xbox to the Series X, as well as adding HDR and other features to them. One game that will receive similar enhancements will be Sea of Thieves.

Sea of Thieves set sails for Twitter with some news from executive producer Joe Naete, who talked about the incredible work being done by Microsoft. He went on to tease that Sea of Thieves will get some game enhancements on the Xbox Series X, but also stated that that information will be shared late. He did however hint at some clues as to what those enhancements might be in Microsoft’s article.

Sea of Thieves is currently available on Xbox One and Windows 10, with the game launching on Steam soon. It has enjoyed great success since launch, so it’s not surprising that Rare and Microsoft want to continue supporting the game. The developer’s recent statements are anything to go by, the pirate utopia will be getting new content updates for some time to come.
