Valorant will leave its closed beta phase and officially release for everyone around the globe on June 2. The game entered its closed beta phase only back in April with a planned launch date sometime in the summer. With that summer window rapidly approaching, Riot Games just announced when the 1.0 version of the game will arrive, being far sooner than many anticipated.
The release date was revealed on Twitter stating that Valorant will fully launch on PC sooner than anticipated on June 2, 2020, roughly two weeks from now. Some of the team members behind the popular shooter said that they have been dedicated to making the game great, and working hard to get every player access to it as soon as possible.
With the announcement of Valorant release date, some developers from Riot also appeared on Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest platform today to talk a bit more about the title. Most of the conversation was centered on what is to become of the game. Keighley also inquired about the current anti-cheat system in Valorant and the larger conversation that has sprung up around that element of the game in recent weeks.
