Xbox Series X event in June will reportedly focus on a better look at the console, with Project Lockhart potentially making its first appearance. Microsoft has been showing off the Xbox Series X, unlike Sony who still is keeping the cover on their next-gen console. Microsoft has given snippets of information leading up to release. Now, a new report from Venture Beat claims that we could soon get an even more in-depth look at the console.
We know Microsoft is hosting a big event in July to show off some big titles like Halo Infinite. However, the publisher said they planned to hold monthly Xbox 20/20 events, which gives the month of June plenty of time for a major announcement. Venture Beat claims that Microsoft will have an event around June 10th that promises to give us a better look at the Xbox Series X.
Given we already know a considerable amount about the console, it’s hard to say what a closer look could entail. Potentially, we might see some gameplay action, or maybe in even UE5 on the Series X. However, Venture Beat brings up the interesting idea of Microsoft showing us the rumored "Lockhart system". Multiple reports lead to the possibility of a cheaper Xbox that comes without some of the more exciting next-gen features. This would be a great time to show it, but will it happen?
Everything here is mostly rumors, but Venture Beat’s track record is certainly solid. We will just have to wait and see for Microsofts next big announcement.
