Reportedly a Nintendo Switch version of Pikmin 3 is reportedly nearing completion. We don't have an official announcement of the 2013 Wii U game by Nintendo, but GamesBeat claims a Deluxe version of Pikmin 3 will join a growing list of last-gen titles to be ported over to the Switch.
We have already seen quite a few Wii U titles ported to the Switch, including Mario Kart 8, New Super Mario Bros. U, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Captain Toad Treasure Tracker, Bayonetta 2 and Hyrule Warriors and some others. VGC revealed in March, that Nintendo plans to celebrate Super Mario Bros.’ 35th anniversary this year with several major releases, including a Deluxe Switch version of 2013’s Wii U game Super Mario 3D World.
Nintendo intends to re-release most of Super Mario’s 35-year back catalogue this year, remastered for Switch. Some of these games include 1996’s Super Mario 64, 2002’s Super Mario Sunshine, and 2007’s Super Mario Galaxy. Like Pikmin 3, these Mario Masters should be ready for release soon, according GamesBeat. Nintendo also announced Paper Mario: The Origami King for Switch on Thursday, with the game releasing on July 17.
Bringing games back is something that Nintendo has also done with the SNES and NES recently as well, which you can see in their tweet below.
